Life’s twists and unexpected obstacles can create stress, anxiety, depression, and relationship conflict.
For many people therapy represents a first step toward changing their lives for the better. I work collaboratively with individuals, couples and families to help them weigh options, increase self-awareness, change destructive habits and pay closer attention to their feelings and behaviors. I strive to offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgmental environment that allows clients to feel safe to genuinely express themselves and consider new possibilities.
While I provide support on a variety of issues, I specialize in the grief and loss throughout the lifespan. As a hospice social worker for many years, I have extensive experience in working with medical struggles, bereavement, family dynamics and issues connected to caregiving, aging, dementia and chronic illness.
I have personally experienced the challenges of infertility, pregnancy and infant loss, adoption, learning challenges and special needs including ADHD and Autism. This allows me to offer clients perspective and support on these tough issues.
